When we first booked Giovanna & Jason we’d never heard of Ramekins Culinary School and we thought it was interesting that they held weddings there.  We happened to be in Sonoma one weekend shooting another wedding at Cornerstone Sonoma and we decided to swing by Ramekins on our way home to scout the location.  We were super impressed by the quaint little venue and it’s the perfect setting to host an intimate wedding event.  It’s got that old world European charm!  🙂

While Giovanna and Jason got ready on site at Ramekins, we did their first look next door at The General’s Daughter, which is also where Giovanna & Jason had their rehearsal dinner the evening before.  With it’s nice big shaded porch, we were able to take advantage of it for some portraits as well.

The ceremony was held in the courtyard and the vine-covered rusted steel trellis makes for the perfect arch to exchange wedding vows.  With family and friends watching, Giovanna & Jason did just that and before you knew it, it was time for a few more portraits!

If you’d expect a culinary school to have an amazing spread of hors d’oeuvres and an incredible menu, you’d be correct.  Every item was expertly displayed and delivered….and then devoured  🙂  The wait staff at Ramekins was one of the best we’ve seen, and while family and friends enjoyed dinner, they also enjoyed some heart felt speeches before moving into the ballroom for dancing and dessert.
