Remember Melissa + Kevin’s engagement session from the previous post?  Well looky looky…now you get to see their wedding photos!  And where did their wedding take place?  None other than Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club/Carmel Mountain Ranch Estate, one of our favorite San Diego wedding venues.  While we’ve shot at many venues multiple times, there are only a handful of wedding venues that we’ve shot at multiple multiple multiple multiple times, and Carmel Mountain Ranch Estate is one of them and it’s great to be so familiar with this great San Diego venue.

As with most of the weddings at Carmel Mountain Ranch Estate, the guys were hanging out in the board room just relaxing and enjoying the moments before things got down to business.  Kevin is a big time fishing guy.  In fact, right after we were finished shooting their engagement session, he was hitting the road with his buddies for an early morning deep sea fishing trip.  So it was only fitting that Melissa gifted him a lifetime fishing license as a pre-wedding gift!

The ladies locker room/getting room downstairs has been revamped this past year and opens up a lot of space for the ladies and all their junk….I mean, necessities, haha!  It’s definitely spacious with a lot of mirrored real estate.  Once the ladies were ready, we got right into photos and things were off to a great start!

The ceremony layout was simple but with all the greenery surrounding the space, you really don’t need much at all.  One cool detail in particular was their entry sign…sort of an art-deco style design, personalized for their wedding.  Super cool!

Since Melissa & Kevin didn’t do a first look before the ceremony, we used the time following the ceremony to do their combined bridal party shots as well as the shots of them together.  Again, it’s great to be so familiar with the venue, and it helps us to get through a lot of awesome photos in a short amount of time.  We love to hit the Italian Cypress trees, especially when the light is juuuust right.  Then combined with a few other spots we’re able to give our couples a great set of images with the cool, casual and classic style we’re known for.  Is this the style you’re looking for for your wedding photos?  We just happen to know the wedding photographer for you  🙂

The ballroom at Carmel Mountain Ranch Estate another great feature of the venue.  Nice and bright in the day and early evening, and the beauty continues into the night with some uplights.
